Now accepting students in grades k4-9
Classroom Atmosphere
Desks, lines, recess, schedules, procedures, and of course homework!
There are 3 areas in which VBCS excels.
Socialization
We think students mature better when they learn to socialize across age groups. This is one of the benefits of a multi-grade classroom.
There is no falling through the cracks at VBCS. Everyone on school staff knows every child and interacts with them. Teachers can tell you at any time how any student is doing.
A smaller school is able to eliminate much of the negative peer pressure that you may be worried about your child encountering. VBCS does not have gang, drug or bullying problems.

Discipline & Rules
At VBCS, we believe that discipline is not something we do TO a student, but something we do FOR them. Our approach is rooted in Hebrews 12:11 (KJV) "Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby."
Our Philosophy: Love & Order
We love your children deeply. Because we love them, we refuse to leave them to their own devices. A structured environment provides the safety and predictability children need to flourish academically and spiritually.
Our rules are designed to:
Reflect Christ: Teaching students to love God and love their neighbors.
Build Character: Cultivating honesty, diligence, and self-control.
Ensure Safety: Creating a space where every student feels secure and respected.
The School & Home Partnership
We view ourselves as an extension of your home, but we are not a replacement for it. Scripture gives parents the primary mandate for the "nurture and admonition of the Lord."
Our role is to support your leadership, not supersede it. We promise to:
Communicate Early: We won’t keep you in the dark about behavioral trends.
Reinforce Your Values: We uphold the biblical standards you are teaching at home.
Respect Your Authority: While we handle school-day infractions, we look to you to be the primary architect of your child’s character.
A Note to Parents: We are your biggest fans. When we enforce a rule, it is never out of frustration, but out of a shared desire to see your child grow into the man or woman God called them to be.
Our Standards of Conduct
While our full Code of Conduct is available in the Student Handbook, our "Golden Rule" expectations are simple:
Honor God in speech, attitude, and action.
Respect Authority including teachers, staff, and volunteers.
Value Others by treating peers with kindness.
Stewardship of the school facilities and personal belongings.
Restorative Discipline
When a rule is broken, our goal is always reconciliation. This means we don't just hand out a consequence; we have a conversation. We help students understand who they hurt, how to make it right, and how to seek forgiveness—both from God and from their peers.
