Elementary
Where Learning Meets Practice
Grades 3-4
Focus on practicing independent study habits, reading for learning, and project completion skills. They learn grammar and expand their vocabulary through engaging stories and nonfiction selections. Their understanding of science and history expands, and they are challenged to think more deeply about the Bible stories they are learning. These grades use the Abeka curriculum.
Grades 5-6
Are solidifying their skills and preparing for middle and high school. They learn to do independent research for writing projects and posters. They begin to develop critical thinking skills throughout their reading, history, and science classes. They continue to have Bible class daily and to approach every subject through a biblical worldview. These grades use the Abeka curriculum.
Grades 1-2
Focus on mastering adding and subtracting in arithmetic and reading, spelling, and writing through phonics. They learn to express themselves through composition, and they learn to memorize through Bible verses and poetry. They are introduced to basic history and science facts and enjoy enrichment classes in art, music and beginning Spanish. These grades use the Abeka curriculum.
